Getting started

The app has four tabs along the bottom:

Talent Calculator — plan a build for any class and spec.
Spellbook — browse every spell a class learns.
Legacy Perks — plan account-wide legacy perks.
Settings — appearance, data version, and legal info.

Pick a class from the dropdown at the top of the Talent Calculator or Spellbook to switch. Talent, spell, and race data is built into the app, so it works offline; icons and background art download the first time you view them and are then cached.

Spending points

Tap a talent to add one point.
Double-tap to fill a talent to its maximum rank.
Long-press (or use the context menu) to remove a point.
Use the undo and reset buttons in the top bar, or reset a single tree from its header.

You have 51 points at level 60. Lower the Level to see how many points are available earlier, and switch specs with the tabs above the tree.

Tooltips and details

Tap a talent to see a tooltip with the current rank, what the next rank changes, and any requirements (shown in red until met). Tap empty space to dismiss it. Below the tree, the Talent Info, Talent Order, and Races tabs show full details, the order points are learned in, and the races that can play the class.

Compare to Classic

Turn on Compare to Classic (in the ⋯ menu) to highlight talents that are New, Reworked, or Moved compared with Classic.

The “Talented” legacy perk

The Talented control (in the ⋯ menu) shifts the level at which you start earning talent points, from level 10 (0 points) down to level 5 (5 points). The 51-point cap never changes. You can keep it in sync with the Legacy Perks tab.

Importing builds

Open the ⋯ menu and choose Import Build, then paste either:

a talentsforever.com build link, or
a talent string.

If the link names a class, the app switches to that class automatically. If the build can’t be read, check that the whole link or string was copied.

Saving & sharing

Save Build stores the current build on your device with a name; load it later from Load Build.
Copy link puts a shareable build link on your clipboard.
Copy Talents copies a plain-text summary of the build.

Saved builds are tagged with the game data build they were made on and are flagged as an older build when you load them after the data changes.

Spellbook

Choose a class, then switch between two views:

The book — spells grouped by spec, each rank showing the level it is learned at.
By level — every spell and rank grouped by the level you learn it, plus a From your talents section for talent-granted abilities.

Filter to All, New & reworked, or New only, drag the level slider, and tap any spell for its full tooltip.

Legacy perks

The Legacy Perks tab is an account-wide planner (Adventure, Resourcefulness, Professions) with its own 16-point budget, gates, and prerequisites. Tap a perk for its tooltip. The Talented perk can be synced with the talent calculator.

Appearance & data

Appearance — choose System, Light, or Dark (Dark by default).
Data version — shows the game data build the app is using and when it was released.
Check for updates — checks whether a newer game data build is available; bundled data updates arrive in future app releases.

Troubleshooting

Icons or backgrounds don’t load

Images download from the internet the first time you view them. Make sure you have a connection, then revisit the screen. Once loaded, they are cached and work offline.

An import didn’t work

Copy the entire talentsforever.com link or talent string and paste it again. A link for a class you don’t have data for, or a truncated string, can’t be read.

A saved build shows an “older build” label

That build was created on an earlier game data version. It still loads; the label just means talents may have changed since. Re-save it to update the tag.

The data looks out of date

Open Settings and tap Check for updates. If a newer build exists, the refreshed data ships in a future app update.

I want to start over

Use Reset in the top bar to clear the current build, or reset a single tree from its header. Deleting the app removes all saved builds, settings, and cached images.
